End Of Time by Dragonda End Of Time by Dragonda
Charcoal, acrylics, red bister, indian ink and nails on paper, I don't know the exact size but it's larger than 70 cm x 100 cm.

The text says: "We have no idea how close we are to the end of time..."

Wonderful work, Essy and I love that you combined another submission to create this one! I also love the quote and it should certainly leave us all wondering.

I've also been fascinated by movies that involve time travel. The Terminator series was particularly good in those aspect. The first and second movies connected VERY well together.

Time travel is such an interesting concept! I loved the movie "The Time Machine" (although the part with the monsters looked very bad)... [link]

The movie "What Dreams May Come" is also very beautiful! It's not really about time travel but it's a fantasy movie about what happens after you die. In that way it's also related to time. If you haven't seen it yet, you should! :) Here's the trailer: [link]

Then there's this brilliant new movie about time, "Knowing", which I can't even describe because it's a bit complicated, but here's a trailer of that one: [link] The special effects in this piece are insane! (In a good way.) I'm absolutely going to buy this one when the dvd is released.

Yes, I loved the Time Machine and the original with Rod Taylor was released when I was still a boy. The new one was well done too, and the monsters (Morlocks) were much scarier.

I also LOVED "What Dreams May Come" especially for the very "painterly" effects in the landscape. It was also a very good story.

I've seen the trailer to "Knowing" and would also like to see it, but the subject is more more serious than the other two.

Yes it's also a bit more scary, but I love the suspence...

Have you seen the movie "Time After Time?" It starred Mary Steinbergen, Malcom McDowell and David Warner and it's an account of Jack the Ripper meeting H.G. Wells and actually using Wells's time machine to travel into the future. It's a light movie, but still very good.

I haven't seen it, but I just watched the trailer on youtube! It looks like a funny concept. :) Very original story idea.
